Take a break from work and come for a weekend workshop in the Sierras.
We will start by going to Yosemite on Friday afternoon. We will leave as soon as everyone is able. We will stay in the valley at Half Dome Village (Curry Camp for you Yosemite veterans). That evening we will photograph the night sky in the valley.
On Saturday morning, we will photograph around Yosemite Valley, and after lunch we will head through Tuolumne Meadows through Tioga Pass. We will spend the following night in Bishop, CA.
Among the places we may photograph on Saturday and Sunday are: Mono Lake, June Lake Loop, Convict Lake, and McGee Creek. The itinerary will be fluid, based on time of day, weather, etc.
On Saturday afternoon and evening, we will be at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, where we will do some more night photography, and maybe some light painting.
On Sunday morning, we will work our way back to Petaluma and we will photograph some of the places we didn't have time to photograph on the way down to Bishop. We will probably come back via Tioga Pass and will photograph Tuolumne Meadows again if we go that way.
If you don't have to be back early Monday, we may just choose to stay in the eastern Sierras an extra day.
